Nissan Forum Concept

The Nissan FORUM Concept, a revolutionary design concept developed by Nissan Design America, Inc. (NDA), paves the way for the modern family transport. Aiming to make family vehicles more attractive to drivers and passengers alike, FORUM features a variety of innovative concepts - from trackless sliding side doors and the omission of traditional B-pillars, to an interior with a multi-position swiveling 2 nd row seat and next-generation entertainment and family communication technology. The world-premiere of the Nissan FORUM Concept occurs at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. Two Independent Zones In One Room Created to be a "gathering place," the FORUM brings adults and young children together in two distinct yet interconnected "zones". Tailored to families with older children who can both entertain themselves and demand to, FORUM attends to the needs of all members. An advanced information technology control center and seats tailored for driving pleasure dominate in the front, while the back is reserved for a dedicated kids' space. FORUM's advanced technology joins the two zones into one family space, if desired. "In contrast to a conventional minivan, FORUM is closer to a family limousine," said Rachel Nguyen, Director of Advanced Planning and Strategy at Nissan North America, Inc. "The vehicle offers sophisticated features for the adults while the children can enjoy themselves independently in a space tailored to their needs. Like all Nissans, this exceptional concept combines unrivaled driving pleasure, emotional design, and user-friendly advanced technology."
