Among the improvements are the addition of a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine with advanced technology, better passive safety levels, more equipment options such as a sophisticated Nissan Connect Premium touch-screen satellite navigation system, Bose sound system and a rear view camera, as well as higher interior quality and fresh styling updates. These features help solidify Nissan's presence in the all-wheel drive market and the Navara and Pathfinder's competitive edge in its segment.
New V6 diesel engine The new V6 turbodiesel, designed by the Renault-Nissan Alliance, offers great power with good economy, environmental-friendly emissions and superior refinement. It boasts an impressive 65-degree angle of V and a Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) engine block which offers great stiffness and sound reduction compared to pure alloy. The weight addition due to the CGI material is surprisingly minimum since extra steel ribs and soundproofing materials are not required. The improved Nissan Navara and Pathfinder will debut at the Geneva Motor Show and hit the European markets in April 2010, followed by the new V6 diesel vehicles two months later.
