Nissan Pathfinder EUR

The Nissan Pathfinder and Terrano are mid-size SUVs that were first introduced in 1986. In North America, the Pathfinder was marketed while elsewhere in the world the vehicle was known as the Terrano. Currently, the Pathfinder falls between the Xterra and Murano in the Nissan lineup. The first showing of the Pathfinder/Terrano platform was known as the WD21. This was later revised to the R50 platform. The first generations Pathfinders in North America were released in two body styles. From 1986 to 1989, Pathfinders came as a two-door body, while in 1990, it changed to a more popular four-door body. However, some 1990 Pathfinders were still made as two-door cars, making them relatively rare vehicles. In these early models, the vehicle was powered by a VG30I V6 or the Z24 I4. The V6 was upgraded from throttle body injection to multi-point fuel injection in 1990, becoming the VG30E, and had 153 hp and 180 lb/ft torque. The second generation of the Pathfinder came eleven years later. It featured more round styling and switched from frame-on-body construction to uni-body construction. The 1999 1/2 model year brought a ‘freshening’ to the Pathfinder alongside a substantial power increase when the 2001 model came with a new VQ35DE V6 engine with 240 hp (179 kW). In 2004, the all-new Pathfinder was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show with the Nissan F-Alpha platform, and powered by a 4.0 L V6 engine VQ40DE (270 hp, 291 ft·lbf). This third generation Pathfinder was manufactured solely in the Smyrna,Tennessee plant until 2003, and then sold globally from 2005. For the most part, the Pathfinders and Armada share the same name, but use very different platforms.
