Nissan Sentra SE-R

The Nissan Sentra is a compact car manufactured by Nissan, usually rebranded for overseas export versions of the Japanese-made Nissan Sunny. In some Asian nations this term is used to refer to various versions of the Nissan Pulsar. In the US, the Sentra is Nissan's small classes offering, competing with other compact models such as the Toyota Corolla. The price of a Sentra begins at $13,100 and goes up to $21,305 for the loaded top-of-the-line model. B15 (2000-2006) In 2000, the Sentra's wheelbase remained the same as it has been, but moved into the compact class. Production moved from Tennessee to Aguascalientes, Mexico where the Smyrna production line underwent changes to manufacture the Nissan Xterra. The 1.6 L engine was changed to the 1.8 L (126 hp) QG18DE. There were several updates, such as an interior with more comfortable seats and a new exterior with clear headlights and body-side moldings. Two years later, a SE-R model was unveiled (165 hp) with a QR25DE engine taken from the Altima. The SE-R was available in a base model (5-speed manual transmission or optional automatic) and a SE-R Spec-V model (6-speed manual transmission with helical limited-slip differential, 175 hp). In 2004, a minor facelift was delivered to all Sentra iterations and Nissan began implementing cost-cutting by removing the front stabilizer bar from all 1.8L models.
