Nissan Terrano 2005 posters

Nissan Terrano

The Nissan Terrano, previously known as the Pathfinder, is a mid-size SUV sold throughout the world. In 1986, the name was first introduced to North America, while elsewhere in the world the vehicle was known as the Terrano. In the North American lineup, the Pathfinder falls between the Xterra and Murano. The WD21 and R50 platforms designate the first and second generations of the Pathfinder/Terrano platform, respectively. Additionally, two different body styles were available for the North American first generation Pathfinder, with a two-door body available from 1986 to 1989 and a four-door body available from 1990 up to 1995. With the available engines, the VG30I V6 and Z24 I4, the V6 model was upgraded from throttle body injection to a multi-point fuel injection system in 1990, boosting horsepower from 153 to 180. For the 1999 1/2 model year, the Pathfinder received a freshening, while a new V6 engine, the VQ35DE, was introduced in 2001 with 240 hp (179 kW). Nissan unveiled a completely redesigned Pathfinder in 2004, introducing the F-Alpha platform and the VQ40DE engine (270 hp, 291 ft·lbf). Until 2003, Pathfinders were built in Japan, before production shifted to Smyrna, Tennessee. Nissan also developed a full-size SUV, the Pathfinder Armada, in 2003, although this vehicle does not use the "Pathfinder" prefix and bears little similarity to its mid-size counterpart. As of 2005, the Pathfinder has been redesigned and the Pathfinder name has become international, selling worldwide.
