The 2009 Nissan Xterra is redesigned to better meet outdoor enthusiast needs with a new front end, Roof-Mounted Off-Road Lights (Off-Road only), wheel designs, seat materials and colors (with leather-appointed seats standard on SE models), trim level content, and standard roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor.
Four models are offered to meet different needs: X, S, Off-Road and SE. To make it easier to choose the right one, optional equipment packages have also been simplified to two: Technology Package and X Gear Package.
For a limited time, starting in July 2008, the Technology Package content - which includes an advanced Rockford Fosgate® audio system, XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately, automatic transmission models only), Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, steering wheel audio controls, and auxiliary input jack - is free with every 2009 Nissan Xterra S, Off-Road, or SE.
