Oldsmobile Intrigue OSV
The Oldsmobile Intrigue was a mid-size sedan manufactured from 1998 to 2002 by the Oldsmobile division of General Motors. It bore the design of the 1995 Oldsmobile Antares concept car and replaced the Cutlass Supreme as Oldsmobile's way of competing with other mid-sized Japanese sedans. It went into production on May 5, 1997 and was assembled at the GM Fairfax Plant in Kansas City, Kansas.
As the first model to be phased out from the Oldsmobile line, the Intrigue was slightly sturdier than the Buick Century, Buick Regal, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Pontiac Grand Prix, whose dimensions, wheelbase and chassis tuning all differed from the Intrigue.

Year-to-year Changes
• 1999: A shortstar, GM's DOHC 3.5L six cylinder engine, is a standard feature for the top-line GLS and an optional feature for mid-level GL and base GX models. An Oldsmobile badge is added to the decklid, and all models are given thicker, leather-wrapped steering wheels. OnStar emergency/communications system is also added to the option list.
• 2000: An antiskid system called the Precision Control System is added to the option list. Heated power front seats are standard on GLS models. Retained accessory power is also now standard, and the Oldsmobile emblem on deck lid is larger than 1999 models. A new gold-trim package is available.
• 2001: Traction control is not no longer standard on GX models, but becomes an optional feature. Automatic headlights are now standard on all models. A Premium Leather and Precision Sport option package are also now available.
• 2002: GLS models come with a two-tone interior with sterling accents, Homelink, sunroof, and driver lumbar are now standard. Tropic Teal and Indigo Blue are two new exterior colors. LATCH safety features are added in three rear seat positions. A Sun & Sound package is available on GL models. Also, production of the Intrigue ends in June 2002.
