Opel Antara
The 2011 Opel Antara combines style with utility and offers an improved driving experience. It has an accentuated exterior design and an upgraded interior, and its fully re-worked engine line-up consists of two diesel units and one gasoline variant. All meet Euro 5 emissions standards, delivering improved performance with reduced consumption and emissions. The two available transmissions, a six-speed manual and an automatic, have been completely newly developed.
The 2.2 CDTI diesel engine is available in two output levels. The 120 kW/163 hp version offers maximum torque of 350 Nm and can be paired with front or all-wheel drive and manual or automatic transmission. It has a fuel consumption of 6.3 l/100 km (CO2: 167 g/km), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, with a top speed of 189 km/h (all for the front-wheel drive manual gearbox variant).
The 135 kW/184 hp top-of-the-line diesel has a maximum torque of 400 Nm and comes standard with all-wheel drive, and is available with both transmissions. It has impressive driving performance (0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds; top speed 200 km/h) and excellent economy and environmental compatibility with fuel consumption of 6.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 175 g/km).
The alternative to the diesel engines is the 2.4 ECOTEC gasoline engine with 123 kW/167 hp, with a maximum torque of 230 Nm. Available with front-wheel drive and manual transmission, or all-wheel drive and both manual and automatic gearbox, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km/h. It has fuel consumption of 8.8 l/km and CO2 emissions of 206 g/km (manual front-wheel drive variant).
