Opel Astra TwinTop
The stylish Opel Astra TwinTop is a dynamic and elegant cabrio that was unveiled in May 2006. It is furnished with a pioneering three-part roof system which can be opened and shut at the press of a button in less than 30 seconds, and this process can happen while the car is in motion (up to 30 km/h). Its intelligent design creates enough room in the cabin and a luggage compartment of up to 440 liters. It's the only car in its class with the power operated "Easy Load" system, which is specially designed for bulky luggage. Plus, the Astra TwinTop naturally offers premium safety features such as ESPPlus and an active roll-over protection system.
New in model year 2007
For model year 2007, two 1.6-liter gasoline units were introduced: the 85 kW/115 hp and the 132 kW/180 hp engine. Both deliver increased power with lower fuel consumption. Also new is the chrome look headlamp housings which adds to a sense of quality. The Astra TwinTop Edition includes dark-tinted headlamp housings. In the cockpit, you'll find additional chrome rings for the air conditioning and radio controls; the top Cosmo variant even features décor trim and piano lacquer surfaces.
