Opel Corsa Hybrid Concept

At the 2007 IAA in Frankfurt (September 13 - 23, 2007), Opel showcased its range of eco-friendly and low-emission vehicles. One particular highlight was the Corsa Hybrid concept car, a model which features an innovative starter generator and stop/start automatic transmission, resulting in an average fuel consumption of around 3,75 liters of diesel per 100 km (99 g CO2/km). Also, the Vectra Flexpower with a 2.0-liter turbo engine designed for operation with a bioethanol/gasoline mix made its debut at the IAA. At the end of the year, Opel will launch its ecoFLEX variants, providing the lowest CO2 emissions among their respective models. The Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX is the first model of this kind, and it produces only 119 grams of CO2 per kilometer, corresponding to an MVEG consumption of 4.5 liters of diesel per 100 km. The other ecoFLEX variants include the Meriva 1.3 CDTI, Astra 1.3 CDTI, and the Zafira and Combo CNG. Opel has shown a clear commitment to reducing emissions and consumption of its vehicles. At the IAA, they presented a product portfolio that produces less than 140 g CO2 per kilometer.
