Opel Corsa Hybrid Concept 2007 posters

Opel Corsa Hybrid Concept

At the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt (September 13 - 23, 2007), Opel offered visitors an insight into an estimate of how future automotive technology could look. With the debut of both the Corsa Hybrid concept car and the Vectra Flexpower, two innovative vehicles with low impact on emissions and consumption were on display. The Hybrid relies on a starter generator and stop/start automatic transmission, achieving an average fuel consumption of 3.75 liters of diesel per 100 km (99 g CO2/km). Alongside these debuts, the European premiere of the 55 kW/75 hp Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX was held. This vehicle, which is equipped with a diesel particulate filter and available for order from December, has the lowest CO2 emissions in its line-up, at 119 grams per kilometer, with a fuel consumption of 4.5 liters of diesel per 100 km. Furthermore, Opel will soon roll out other ecoFLEX variants for the Meriva, Astra, Zafira, and Combo CNG models. The current selection of Opel automobiles makes clear the company's commitment to emissions and consumption reduction. A vast majority of Opel models, showcased at the IAA, produce less than 140 g CO2/km.
