Opel Flextreme GT-E Concept 2010 posters

Opel Flextreme GT-E Concept

Making its debut at the 80th Geneva Motor Show (March 4 - 14, 2010), the Opel Flextreme GT/E Concept demonstrates Opel's commitment to leading in green technologies, combining expressive design and efficient environmental performance with German precision. As part of Opel's e-mobility unlimited strategy; a concept which removes the limitations of battery-only power, the 4.7m-long concept embodies the same E-REV ( Extended-range electric vehicle ) technology set to launch with the upcoming Opel Ampera - proving that efficient zero CO2 driving emissions could be implemented across all market segments. The Opel Flextreme GT/E Concept underscores the Opel commitment to efficiency, with a unique design that gives the vehicle a low and wide stance, enhanced by strong sculpted bodywork, floating C-pillars, and wing-shaped lights front and rear. This helps the concept to achieve a projected drag co-efficient of just 0.22, enabling it to reach a top speed exceeding 200 km/h while conserving energy and increasing its driving range. Frank Weber, Vice President for Corporate and Product Planning, comments “The Opel Flextreme GT/E Concept showcases the future of Opel; bold, expressive and highly efficient, this advanced concept embodies our brand and product strategy, applying to existing or upcoming vehicles, large or small, across all market segments”.
