Opel GTC Concept

At the 77th Geneva Motor Show, Opel unveiled the GTC Concept (Gran Turismo Coupé)—demonstrating their new interpretation of the brand. Alain Visser, Executive Director for European Opel Marketing, describes the GTC Concept as a combination of "exciting lines, high driving dynamics, and interior flexibility" that reflect the brand's future trademark characteristics. Additionally, the concept car suggests a more refined brand emblem, with the Opel name embossed into the Blitz ring. Bryan Nesbitt, Executive Director for GM Europe Design, explains that this concept car also "signals the next chapter in Opel's design identity." According to Nesbitt, the GTC is a representation of the "more confident, relevant, and distinctive" elements Opel hopes to showcase in their future products. Hans Demant, Opel's Managing Director and GME Vice President Engineering explains how previous concepts such as the GTC Genève, Antara GTC, and TRIXX previewed future production variants. He claims the GTC Concept is a "confident ambassador" for the brand and could similarly preview the engineering and design of the company's future models.
