Opel Meriva
The Opel Meriva is a mini MPV based on the Opel Corsa platform, and is available across Europe, excluding the UK where it is known as the Vauxhall Meriva. It is also offered in Mexico and Argentina under the name Chevrolet Meriva. General Motors do Brasil and Opel's Zaragoza, Spain plant produce the Meriva, and it was introduced in late 2002.
It has a variety of petrol and turbodiesel engines ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 litres, and providing between 70 and 125 PS (51 - 92 kW) of power. The base model is equipped with an Easytronic (sequential manual) transmission.
The Meriva has a unique, flexible interior design called FlexSpace, which provides seating for two or three passengers in the second row. When configured for two passengers, both seats can be separated from the doors and each other, providing a comfortable ride in the rear. When seating three, the second row can fit one large seat. Furthermore, the front seat is adjustable, allowing maximum leg room for rear occupants.
Additionally, the car has a generous trunk, which can be extended further by pushing the back seats into the floor.
