Peugeot 1007 RC Concept

The Peugeot 1007 is a mini MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) manufactured by the French carmaker since 2004. This model is based on the platform shared with the Peugeot 207 and Citroën C3 models. The Peugeot 1007 stands out from the crowd with two power sliding doors (instead of conventional hinged ones) making access - even on slopes - easier. Another innovative feature is the exclusive 'Cameleo' trim pieces - available to be swapped around - for a more personalized look costing around €250 a set. The car also comes with the optional semi-automatic transmission, called '2-Tronic' - although a similar gear-shifting system was previously found on the 1950s Hudson Commodore. Prices for this mini MPV start from around €14,000 / £10,000, which is higher than drivers may expect for a car with its size. Engines

Trivia

Stepping out of the ordinary, the Peugeot 1007 comes with a 'double-zero' number, '1007' in this case. In English-speaking countries, it is pronounced as 'ten-oh-seven', since 'double-oh-seven' is trademarked by the James Bond film franchise. Meanwhile, in France this model is marketed as the 'mille-sept'.
