Peugeot 1007 RC Concept

The Peugeot 1007 is a mini MPV that has been manufactured by the French carmaker Peugeot since 2004. It is based on the platform of the Peugeot 207 and Citroën C3. The car stands out for its singular design, which includes two power sliding doors (like those of a large MPV) for easier access in tighter spaces and in hilly areas. Furthermore, it has user-swappable Cameleo interior trim pieces that usually cost around €250 for a set. Another innovation of the Peugeot 1007 is the optional "2-Tronic" semi-automatic transmission, similar to the system used in the Hudson Commodore model from the 1950s (but employing a vacuum switch). Its engines include a 1.4 L petrol, a 1.6 L petrol, and a 1.4 L diesel - all of them taken from the 206 model. It is considered to be quite expensive for its size, with prices around €14,000 / £10,000. The 1007 is the first mainstream car from Peugeot to have been given a "double zero" number. In English-speaking countries, the name is pronounced correctly as "ten-oh-seven", as "one-double-oh-seven" is trademarked by the James Bond film franchise. In France it goes by the name "mille-sept".
