The Peugeot 407 is a large family car that was released by the French manufacturer Peugeot in 2004 as the succeeding model of the Peugeot 406. It first introduced at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show under the name “407 Elixir” before its official launch on May 27, 2004. It is known for its sleek design, including a large front grille and steeply inclined windshield pillars. The 407 is available in sedan, coupe, and station wagon versions, with the latter, known as the 407 SW, being available shortly after the announcement of the sedan. The coupe variant was unveiled in concept car form at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show with the name "407 Prologue,” and was officially put on sale in early 2006.
