Peugeot Quark Concept 2004 posters

Peugeot Quark Concept

The Peugeot Quark is an eye-catching concept car that first appeared at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. It takes the form of a four-wheeled motorcycle powered by a fuel cell and four electric motors producing a total of 40hp, allowing it to travel about 130km before needing to be refueled. Measuring 2.38m in length and 1.50m in width, its empty weight is 450kg and its top speed is 110km/h. With a 0-50km/h acceleration of 6.5 seconds, there's room for two passengers and a 140kg load. It's larger than an ATV and not designed for off-road use due to its low ground clearance and limited range. Despite the Quark garnering much praise for its futuristic design, it's doubtful that it will ever enter mass production. However, it does provide a tantalizing glimpse of Peugeot's future automotive endeavors, especially when the fuel cell technology powering it has been honed to perfection.
