Pontiac G3
Pontiac is set to add the sporty five-door hatchback G3 to its U.S. showrooms in the beginning of next year, offering customers a fuel-efficient choice alongside the 2009 Pontiac Vibe (32 mpg), 2009 G6 sedan (33 mpg), and 2009 G5 coupe (37 mpg) as part of the "Over 30" club. Already making waves in Canada and Mexico, the G3 offers a 1.6L Ecotec four-cylinder engine that can produce up to 106 horsepower (79 kW) with an estimated 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. In addition, its roomy dimensions provide passengers with the best shoulder and hip room in the segment for seating five.
Pontiac G3 comes with a range of standard features, including air conditioning, a CD/MP3 audio system with auxiliary input jack, fog lights, and rear spoiler. The full package of safety features, such as four airbags, has earned the Pontiac G3 a five-star frontal crash rating. Inside, the interior provides optimal space for five adults, with the rear seats having a 60/40 split to offer up to 42 cubic feet of cargo space.
