Pontiac G6 Convertible
Pontiac has revealed the 2009.5 model of their flagship G6 mid-size vehicles, providing customers with fresh exterior styling, an upgraded instrument panel, and more fuel-efficient powertrain options. Susan Docherty, vice president of Buick-Pontiac-GMC said, "The Pontiac G6 has always been one of our most important vehicles and has been Pontiac's number-one seller since it was launched in 2004. Our new enhancements for 2009 will further solidify the G6's reputation for sporty style and handling without sacrificing value and fuel efficiency."
All G6 models, including sedans, coupes and convertibles, have obtained the interior design improvements. However, the Pontiac G6 GXP models are exempted from the exterior and powertrain alterations.
The Pontiac G6 coupe will be offered with the GM-patented 2.4L four-cylinder Ecotec engine and six-speed automatic transmission for the first time. Linked to this powertrain is the TAPshift manual shift system boasting steering wheel-mounted paddle controls, that are capable of averaging 33 miles per gallon of fuel efficiency, the same as the latest Pontiac G6 sedan.
