Pontiac Montana 2000 posters

Pontiac Montana

The Pontiac Montana was first released in 1999, replacing the Pontiac Trans Sport in the General Motors lineup. The Montana was a minivan that was mechanically similar to the Buick GL8, Chevrolet Venture, Oldsmobile Silhouette, and the Opel Sintra. It was available in both short and long wheelbase models, and was one of the few minivans that could seat up to eight. In 2005, the Montana got a facelift and was renamed the SV6.

The 2005 Montana SV6 was powered by a 3.5 L High Value 3500 LX9 V6 that generated 200 hp and 220 ft·lbf and had a starting MSRP of US$24,840. It was built at the Doraville, Georgia assembly plant in the United States. Despite typically good sales in Canada, after the 2006 model year, the SV6 was discontinued in the US due to it not fitting Pontiac's performance image.
