Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet
The Porsche 911 Carerra models for 2002 have received a larger, more powerful engine, inspired by the 911 Turbo. This engine produces 320 horsepower, compared to the 300 of before, and brings a greater torque and smoother engine response. Along with this, the body structure has been reinforced for better handling, ride and safety as well as updated seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters, and a new optional Bose digital sound system.
The 2002 model line consists of the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet as well as the all-wheel drive Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. A special version of the 911 Carrera 4 Coupe will be released during the model year. The Coupes have folding rear seatbacks to create a flat cargo floor, while the Cabriolets have a fully automatic power soft-top that folds into a compartment behind the rear seats, flush against the body with the roof lowered for a sleek and uncluttered appearance. Additionally, the Cabriolet models feature a glass rear window with integral defroster that replaces the polycarbonate window.
