Porsche 911 Carrera RS
The Porsche 911 Carrera RS is a lightweight and special iteration of the Porsche 993 Carrera. Its 3.8L naturally aspirated engine outputs a respectable 300hp (DIN). It has several visual cues to set it apart such as a non-retractable rear wing, small front flaps, and 3-piece 18-inch aluminum wheels. Weight-saving measures were taken, and that included removing the headlight washers and installing special racing seats along with spartan door cards to replace the rear seats. Minimal sound proofing was also installed.
The RS version also included a Clubsport variant which featured a welded roll cage, and comfort feature deletions like the carpets, power windows, a/c, and radio. Additional modifications included a larger rear wing and deeper chin spoiler.
The Porsche 911 Carrera RS was only in production for 1995 and 1996. It was street legal in various countries outside of the United States.
