Porsche 930 Turbo 1980 posters

Porsche 930 Turbo

The Porsche 930 (usually pronounced nine-thirty) was a sports car built by Porsche from 1975 to 1989. It was Porsche's most powerful model, the fastest production car available in Germany, and featured a turbo-charged 3.0 litre flat-six engine that surpasses the standard Carrera's power output with an impressive 260 PS (191 kW; 256 hp). To make the 930 as capable as possible, Porsche included a reinforced gearbox, larger brakes, revised suspension, a "Whale-Tail" spoiler to help vent air to the engine, and an overall widened body with flares to increase the vehicle's grip and stability. The platform was also a prime candidate for a racing variant, becoming the basis for Porsche's 934 and 935 race cars.
