These mid-engine cars come equipped with a substantially more powerful and fuel efficient engine for the 2005 model year. This enhanced performance is further supported by a new five- and six-speed manual transmission for shorter, crisper gear changes, a Tiptronic S gearbox and a variable-ratio steering as standard equipment. Inside, both driver and passenger benefit from newly spacious interiors featuring four seating choices with a steering column that both tilts and telescopes for enhanced driver control and comfort. Additionally, the Boxster models have larger wheels and tires and upgraded brakes. Other outstanding features include Porsche Stability Management, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes and the Porsche Sports Chrono Package.
