Porsche Boxster S

The Porsche Boxster lineup has some exciting changes for 2007, most notably two new engines. The Boxster S now has the 3.4-liter flat-Six unit from the Cayman S, boasting 295 horsepower, while the regular Boxster receives a reworked 2.7-liter Boxer setup boasting 245 horsepower - just five less than the original Porsche Boxster S. To aid performance and fuel economy, the engines are now equipped with Porsche's VarioCam Plus variable intake-valve timing and lift system. Additionally, the lineup has a refreshed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, a standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and revised positioning of the service tray for an improved rear trunk shape. 19-inch wheels from the 2007 911 Turbo are available as an option. New engines for more power in a capable chassis Driving the 2007 Porsche Boxster S is the 3.4-liter "Boxer" six-cylinder engine from the Cayman S. Having the same cylinder heads and VarioCam Plus technology as the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera, it provides increased torque curves, better fuel economy, and reduced emissions.
