Porsche Cayenne Diesel
For the first time, Porsche is introducing a new model powered by a diesel engine - the Porsche Cayenne Diesel - to the market in February 2009. This vehicle brings together the versatility of the sport utility and the economy and high torque of a diesel engine that is perfect for long distances of up to 1,000 kilometres or 620 miles. Not to mention, it has the impressive towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes. Not to mention, the Cayenne offers unparalleled driving dynamics, safety, and offroad capabilities.
The new model has the same exterior look as the Cayenne fitted with a petrol engine, though there are notable differences under the hood. The engine cover has a distinctive shape with model designation “3.0 V6 Turbo Diesel Injection” that clearly identifies the model. This six-cylinder diesel engine produces 243 bhp (176 kW) and delivers an astounding torque of 550 Nm/405 lb-ft at a low 2,000 rpm. With Tiptronic S, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 8.3 seconds.
