Proton Cars (UK) is proud to introduce a new model to its range, the Proton GEN-2 Persona. This four door saloon variant is also part of the GEN-2 family, and is a spin off from their popular five door hatchback. The vehicle is powered by the 1.6 liter Lotus-engineered Campro engine, offering 110bhp, 148Nm of torque, and a top speed of 118 mph. Both a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic gearbox are available to ensure an optimal driving experience. Proton's sister company, Lotus, was deeply involved in this model's ride and handling, invoking the same sense of finesse in the exterior and interior design. The gray interior provides plenty of room and has flat-folding 60:40 rear seats as well as a spacious boot. Plus, the car is equipped with a climate control with a pollen filter, front and rear electric windows, an integrated Blaupunkt radio/CD player, as well as an MP3-compatible CD player and four way speaker system. Proton GEN-2 Persona also comes with an Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution, driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection bars, power-assisted steering, and reverse distance sensors to ensure utmost safety on the road.
