Introduction
The Renault 20 and Renault 30 were two executive cars released by the French automaker Renault between 1975 and 1984. The Renault 20 was the affordable option that came with a small four-cylinder 1647cc engine, compared to the 30's larger 2664cc V6 PRV engine that produced 131 hp. The two cars were practically identical aside from the headlight configuration - the 20 featuring two single rectangular headlights, and the 30 with four round headlights. Over 622,000 R20s and R30s were built at Sandouville, Le Havre, France.
Every Renault 20 and 30 boasted several innovative features that made them ahead of their time. Notably, the cars were equipped with front and rear crumple zones, side impact protection, 13-inch wheel rims, a relatively large fuel tank capacity finished off with comfort and low levels of engine and road noise.
