Renault Clio III 5door

The all-new third generation Clio was released in 2005 and utilizes a platform co-developed with Nissan (which Renault has a stake in). This is the same platform used for the Renault Modus and current Nissan Micra. Compared to the Clio II, it is larger, weighs 130 kg more, and is more expensive - as it was intended to move the Clio into a more premium market. Through 2007, the Clio II will remain available as an affordable option until the launch of the new Renault Twingo. The Clio III boasts a 5-star EuroNCAP safety rating, making it one of Renault's safest consumer cars, with the exception of the Kangoo which was awarded the top safety rating. Sales of the 3-door model were available across Europe in October 2005; the 5-door model followed shortly after in early 2006. During June 2006, the third-gen Clio Renault Sport was released in France with a price tag of 23000 euros. This car sports a naturally aspirated 16-valve 2 liter engine - based on the version used in the Clio Renault Sport II - as well as a 6-speed gearbox. The engine's power is 197 hp at 7250 rpm and the car's top speed is 215 km/h, with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds. At the 2006 Paris International Agricultural Show, the Hi-Flex Clio was showcased with a 1.6 L 16-valve engine. Targeting the Brazilian market, this vehicle incorporates Renault's flex-fuel technology and a highly versatile engine which can utilize a blend of gasoline and ethanol at any proportion (0% to 100%).
