Renault Laguna Initiale 3.0 V6 24V

The Renault Laguna is a large family car produced by the French manufacturer Renault. It was first launched in 1994, followed by an all-new Laguna in 2000.

First generation

The original Laguna was introduced as a liftback and was eventually joined by an estate version, later known in some markets as the Laguna Grandtour. It had a range of engine options from 1.6 to 3.0, including petrol, diesel, and a V6 with automatic transmission. All models came with electric windows, driver's airbag, power steering, and remote central locking. Optional or standard features included, twin airbags, air-conditioning, CD player, antilock brakes, and semi-leather seats. It received a minor facelift in 1998, with a few other visual tweaks.

Second generation

The second generation Laguna made its debut in 2000 and shared its chassis with the Nissan Primera. It was equipped with upgraded engines and new features, including a 'keyless' ignition system which used a credit card-sized device to unlock the car and start the engine. The styling of the car was largely inspired by the Initiale concept car. Unfortuntely, despite its modern features, the model has been disappointing in terms of reliability.
