Renault Megane II Sport Hatch
The Renault Megane II was launched in 2002, redefining the look of the original Mégane with its new bold styling. This design was voted European Car Of The Year in 2003, and it also achieved a 5-star safety rating in the EuroNCAP crash tests, the first car in its class to do so. Renault has used the Mégane II to introduce several advanced features, such as the Renault Card keyless ignition system and the option of a panoramic glass sunroof.
The sportier version of the Mégane II is the RenaultSport model, with a turbocharged 2.0L 16v engine producing 225 hp and adjustments to improve handling. It competes in the hot hatch segment of the market.
Other options available in the Mégane II range include hatchbacks in three and five door versions, a four-door saloon/sedan, a five-door estate, and a 4-seat convertible with a retractable hardtop. And the smallest members of the family are the short or long-wheelbase models of the Scénic, which offer up to seven seats for maximum practicality.
