Renault Megane R26.R

The Renault Megane R26.R is a limited edition car that has been manufactured at the Alpine Renault factory in Dieppe, France, and only 450 units have been produced. This vehicle is based on the Mégane F1 Team R26 and features the same engine, gearbox, and limited slip differential, benefiting from a lightening of 123kg and specific suspension calibration. The Renault Megane R26.R is easily recognizable thanks to its carbon bonnet and Sabelt bucket seats with harness belts. On June 23, 2008, it set a new lap record for its category round the Nürburgring in Germany and established its performance credentials with a time of 8m 17s. The car was unveiled at the London show and is due to go on sale in October 2008. Renault Sport Technologies have developed this car to build on the success of its Predecessor, the Mégane F1 Team R26. This version joins the Renault Sport range which includes the Clio Renault Sport, Clio F1 team R27, Mégane Renault Sport, Mégane Renault Sport dCi, and the Twingo Renault Sport. Since its launch in April 2004, more than 20,000 Mégane Renault Sports have been sold in almost 30 countries across the world.
