Renault has been a mainstay of the small car segment since 1993, when the Twingo model was first launched. To date, the company has sold more than 2.4 million Twingos. As part of Renault Commitment 2009, which involved releasing 26 new cars, with 13 intended to crack new markets, a New Twingo was made available in June 2007. This upgrade comes with a chassis based on the B-segment, along with the TCE (Turbo Control Efficiency) 100hp petrol engine to provide peak performance and fuel efficiency. The GT version of the car is visually dynamic, while other versions are sturdier and there is also a 1.5 dCi diesel engine available.
New Twingo stands out for its interior space optimization, using the car's compact 3.60m length to house four fully sliding seats and a boot volume ranging from 165 to 285 liters (VDA) with all four seats in place and able to be extended to 959 exters when the seats are down. The front passenger seat can even be folded forwards to support loads of up to 2.15m in length.
