Renault 18 GTL

The Renault 18 was a medium-sized automobile designed and built by the French manufacturer Renault between 1978 and 1994. Development of this model was carried out quickly, with only 18 months passing from the initial concept to the car's launch. It was created to be a ‘world car' and was also marketed with the slogan "Meeting International Requirements." As a result, the Renault 18 was sought after and manufactured in a variety of countries worldwide, including France, Argentina, Australia, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The car was first introduced to Geneva Salon in March 1978 and went on sale the following month. It was initially available in the form of a four-door saloon, with four trim levels; TL, GTL, TS and GTS. The TL and GTL were powered by a 1397cc Cléon engine, which produced 64bhp and had a 4-speed gearbox.
