Rinspeed E-Go Rocket Concept

Frank M. Rinderknecht, president of Rinspeed Design, has designed an eye-catching vehicle blending traditional beauty with forward-looking technology: the Rinspeed E-Go Rocket. Inspiration for the concept car came from one of the world's famous record setting cars on the salt flats, and the creation was completed in only six months. To make the E-Go Rocket a reality, Rinderknecht sought the help of Continental, Antera, Eibach, Remus, Rieter Automotive Systems, TLC Carossiers Inc., Lufthansa Cargo, Burg Design, Philips Car Systems and De'Shama. Using CAD/CAM technology, Rinderknecht achieved quality and speed when creating the vehicle, which is powered by a lightweight aluminum-block V8 engine that boasts 410 horsepower and propels the single-seater to 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.8 seconds. With 235/50 and 255/45 tires on 18-inch wheels, this model has a composite body to ensure strength and rigidity while keeping its weight to 1'050 kilograms. The interior features a denim-covered seat and a high-tech music and navigation system. This experimental car is street legal and is only available to purchase by order.
