Rolls-Royce Phantom GCC Limited Edition

The Rolls-Royce Phantom GCC Limited Edition is a luxury saloon automobile made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, a BMW subsidiary. Launched in 2003, it was the first Rolls-Royce branded car produced under BMW ownership and was designed to avoid being seen as just an extension of the BMW range. Specifications This vehicle is powered by a 6.8 L, 48-valve V12 engine that puts out 453 horsepower (338 kW) and 531 ft·lbf (720 N·m) of torque. It is built on an aluminium spaceframe chassis and measures 1.63 m (63 in) tall, 1.99 m (74.8 in) wide, and 5.83 m (228 in) in length, weighing 2485 kg (5478 lb). With a six-speed automatic transmission and double wishbone suspension, the Phantom accelerates to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds. Side markers are featured on all models, with the rear ones being red in the US to comply with federal car lighting requirements. An extended wheelbase version with an added 250 mm in length was released in 2005 at the Geneva Motor Show. Design BMW worked hard to ensure that the Phantom has distinct design cues to differentiate it from its other models such as the BMW 7 Series. As opposed to Mercedes' Maybach, which faced criticism for producing an S-Class clone, BMW chose to sell the Phantom through separate dealerships and even the Maybach showroom in London does not sell base Mercedes models.
