Saab 9-3 Coupe

The Saab 9-3 is a compact executive car manufactured by the Swedish automaker Saab. This car was first based on the GM2900 platform and subsequently changed to the GM Epsilon platform, which was also used by other vehicles such as the Opel Vectra and Cadillac BLS. From 1998, the 9-3 was badged as 93, and was marketed as "nine three". The first generation 9-3 (also known as OG 9-3 or body style 9400) was unveiled in 1998 and ran until 2003. It was basically an improved Saab 900 and featured 1,100 differences, including a revised suspension to improve ride and handling, as well as increased crash-worthiness through the addition of side airbags and active headrests. It was available as a three or five-door hatchback, and as two-door convertible - the first small Saab to feature the company's H engine. The model also underwent a moose test, a Saab safety tradition.
