The Saab 9-4X debuts at the 2010 Los Angles Auto Show and offers a fresh, independent choice to the growing mid-size crossover segment. Its muscular and sporty design is inspired by aircraft and Scandinavian values and its car-like driving dynamics challenge class benchmarks. It is aligned in size between the 9-3X all-rounder and the new 9-5 sedan, and features a unique, purpose-designed crossover body structure for excellent handling and ride properties. Drivers of the 9-4X will experience clean, uncluttered design inside and out, including distinctive wraparound-effect windshield, ice block lighting theme, and a driver-focused cockpit. It is equipped with Saab XWD all-wheel-drive system, DriveSense adaptive chassis control and has a choice of two V6 engines, a 265 hp, 3.0-liter with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing; and a 300 hp, 2.8-liter featuring twin-scroll turbocharging exclusive to top-of-line Aero variants. Both are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions under adaptive, electronic control.
