Saleen S7 2002 posters

Saleen S7

The Saleen S7 is a high-performance sports car that was jointly designed by RML and Saleen, Incorporated and is currently being constructed at Saleen's headquarters factory in Irvine, California. Built with an innovative combination of a steel spaceframe and aluminum honeycomb panels encapsulated in autoclave-cured carbon fiber bodywork, the S7's engine engineering was led by Billy Tally, Saleen's Vice President of Advanced Engineering. The first Saleen S7 to be sold to the public was a 2003 model Lizstick Red chassis #018, which was delivered on June 6, 2002. For the 2005 model year, the engine was upgraded with the addition of two turbochargers, increasing its power output to 750 hp (559 kW). The Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) technology, designed for the S7 at the outset, was finally integrated into the vehicle in 2005. The S7 has raced in a number of international events, earning significant successes in the IMSA's American Le Mans Series and the FIA GT championship. Saleen has also produced aftermarket packages for the S7 that offer increased power ratings of 850bhp and 1035bhp—these packages typically come with an additional charge of around $75,600. Later this year, a third-party top speed run for the 750bhp S7 is being planned. Specifications (2005 model) Engine
