Saturn Vue 2002 posters

Saturn Vue

The Saturn VUE is a compact SUV from General Motors' Saturn marque, and was the first vehicle to use the GM Theta platform. Designed by Saturn and manufactured at the Spring Hill plant, the unibody platform is also used by the Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, and the European Opel Antara. Four-cylinder VUEs use the Ecotec straight-4 engine, and 5-speed Aisin AF33 automatic transmission was initially offered. From 2004 on, all 6-cylinder VUEs have been equipped with a Honda-manufactured 250 hp (186 kW) L66 engine and matching transmission. Additionally, the four-cylinder VUE was available with the VTi continuously-variable transmission (CVT) until its discontinuation in 2005. The VUE was updated for the 2006 model year with a redesigned interior, bumper, and grille, as well as standard OnStar, cruise control, and automatic headlights. Red Line In 2004, Saturn introduced a special high-performance line of vehicles under the "Red Line" brand, including the VUE. The Red Line version includes the 250 hp (186 kW) L66 V6 and sport suspension tuning, as well as 18" alloy wheels, ground-effect front bumpers, chrome exhaust tips, special black leather and suede seats, footwell lighting, and special gauge cluster. Green Line Developed for an eco-friendly focus, the "Green Line" model uses the GM "belt alternator starter" (BAS) system for a mild hybrid design. Powered by the 2.4 L Ecotec engine from the Saturn ION, the Green Line version is expected to deliver 15% fuel savings and will cost around US$2,000 more than a similarly-equipped VUE. The Green Line debuted in January 2006 at the North American International Auto Show.
