The powerful 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine uses Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), roller rocker arms, and a Variable-induction Intake Manifold System to supply more torque on demand, while a new intake-manifold design and a sport-tuned lightweight exhaust system combine to produce 180 horsepower and 11 additional lbs.-ft of torque. This not only increases power output but also contributes to improved fuel economy.
