Scion tC Release Series 1.0

The Scion tC is a sports compact car released by Toyota in 2004. It was initially designed to appeal to the Generation Y market, equipped with multiple features as standard and more options available. Using the chassis of the Avensis, which is sold in Europe, and the 2.4L 2AZ-FE I4 engine from the Camry, the tC was made to be accessible and affordable, with a base MSRP of only US$16,715. The name "tC" doesn't fit alongside the xA and xB, as "xC" was already taken by Volvo for its XC70 and XC90 models. According to Scion, tC stands for "Touring Coupe." Specifications include a double overhead cam (DOHC) 16-valve VVT-i 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, producing 160hp (119kW) at 5700 rpm and 163ft·lbf (221N·m) at 4000rpm. It also offers a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. For fuel efficiency, the Scion tC has highway fuel economy/consumption of 35-30mi/U.S. gal (7.8L/100km) (automatic) and 34-29mi/U.S. gal (8.1L/100km) (manual). The city fuel economy/consumption is 29-23mi/U.S. gal (10.7L/100km) for the automatic, and 28-22mi/U.S. gal (10.7L/100km) for the manual. It boasts a 14.5gal (54.9L) fuel tank, as well as a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system utilizing disc brakes on both the front and rear, with a weight of 2,970lb (1,347kg) (automatic) and 2,905lbl (1,318kg) (manual). The engine displacement is 2382 CC.
