Seat Altea FR Prototype

SEAT will give the world a glimpse of their upcoming Altea FR prototype at the upcoming Frankfurt International Motor Show, from 15 to 25 September (press days 12th, 13th and 14th). This car serves as a preview of the model that will go on the market in early 2006, and is the first of its kind in the Spanish brand's FR range. The prototype Altea FR is powered by the powerful 2.0 TDI engine which boasts 170 hp (125 kW), four valves per cylinder, and a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine also complies with the European Union EU4 emission standards, allowing the Altea to reach a top speed of 208 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 8.6 seconds. Its sleek exterior consists of a mix of silver and black, highlighted with chromed accents such as the exterior mirrors, alloy wheels, and 70 mm diameter polished exhaust pipes. On the sides of the car, an exclusive black "FR" sticker runs from the B-pillar to the C-pillar, giving the car its sporty edge. The interior interior has a sporty look, with features such as Ona silver handles, four separate sports design seats with "FR" embroidery, and a leather-covered steering wheel, door panels, gear shift, handbrake, and instrument panel cover. The "FR" logo appears printed on several components for a seamless design. The car also comes equipped with bi-functional adaptive xenon headlights and sliding rear seats.
