This unique model stands out amongst the others in the range and brings forth impressive performance that goes beyond others. Driving this new model is possible from either of the two power units it provides, one petrol and one diesel.
The petrol engine of the Leon FR is a 2.0 litre four-cylinder TFSI with 200 hp, it gives a peak torque of 280 Nm from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. With this engine, the Leon can reach highest speed of 229 km/hour and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 7.3 seconds.
For those who prefer diesel, the Leon FR has the same 170 hp 2.0 TDI same that was first showcased by the SEAT Altea FR. It gives 125 kW (170 hp) at 4,200 rpm with an optional six-speed manual gearbox, the highest speed it can reach is 214 km/hour and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hour in 8.2 seconds.

One of the impressive features of the Leon FR's drivetrain is the optional DSG gearshift that is available for the 2.0 TFSI version. This is the first petrol-powered SEAT to offer this transmission, which also includes paddle shift on the steering wheel.
