Skoda Fabia Super 2000
Škoda has started testing on a prototype of the Fabia rally car, tailored to compete in the Super 2000 category. The vehicle, compliant with FIA regulations, is based on the second-generation Fabia and features a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, a six-speed sequential transmission, and a four-wheel drive system.
Dr. Eckhard Scholz, Head of Škoda's Technological Development explains, “We are pleased to begin testing the Fabia Super 2000. We plan to optimise and certify it this year so it can be used on national and international grounds. We are also aiming to offer the car to private teams with a customer service arrangement, and aim to develop the vehicle in close cooperation with our importers worldwide.”
Martin Lauer, Head of Corporate Communications, adds, “We take pride in the fact that our hundred-year long motorsport legacy can still be seen in the Fabia Super 2000.”
