Subaru Legacy 3.0 R
Subaru of America, Inc., unveiled the latest versions of its re-designed 2008 Legacy and Outback models at the 2007 North American International Auto Show at Cobo Hall. It also presented its most powerful Legacy sedan, the Subaru Legacy 3.0 R Limited, for the first time in North America. This 6-cylinder model is geared towards topping other midsize All-Wheel Drive performance sedans as it comes equipped with a paddle-shift transmission, SI-DRIVE performance-control and Bilstein Sport Suspension among other features.
The 2008 Legacy and Outback impress with their modern facelift. Their grilles are adorned with a chrome crossbar and the company's aviation-inspired logo. Both the Legacy and Outback feature brand-new front sheet metal with larger grille openings, front and rear bumpers and redesigned headlights and taillights with reduced overhangs for a more athletic aesthetic. The Outback additionally has a larger and more upright grille to give it a more powerful look while its XT and six-cylinder iterations come with fog lights and exclusive wheels.
Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is a defining feature of Subaru as it is the only brand to provide this as the standard on all its vehicles.
