Suzuki SX4
American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) announced today that a U.S. version of the all-new Suzuki SX4 vehicle is set to arrive at dealerships across the United States next year. Additionally, the company declared that production for the European version of the SX4 will take place in Eastern Europe.
Featuring an adaptable five-door design, optional all-wheel-drive system, and a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter DOHC engine, the 2007 Suzuki SX4 is designed to give American drivers an exciting and practical driving experience.
“Since Suzuki has had great success with small vehicles in Asia and Europe,” stated Koichi Suzuki, president of ASMC Automotive Operations, “we feel that the all-new Suzuki SX4 is perfect for the U.S. market.”
The Three-Mode Switchable AWD system, allowing the driver to choose between 2WD, AUTO (AWD High), and LOCK (AWD Lock) modes with a simple selector switch, adds to the SX4's full package. Which can be paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
The world debut of the Suzuki SX4 is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show in March 2006, while the North American unveiling is expected at the New York International Auto Show in April. It should be available for sale during the summer of 2006.
