When it comes to power and style, the TechArt Automobildesign (www.techart.de) customisation programme for the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S, coupe or cabriolet, leaves nothing to be desired. The TechArt power kits TA 097/1 for the 3.6-litre version and TA 097/S1 for the Carrera S with 3.8-litre displacement consist of a sport air filter and newly programmed engine electronics. Following installation at TechArt Automobildesign or any authorised Porsche dealer, these kits result in a power improvement of 15 hp / 11 kW.
The vehicles' performance is improved accordingly: 0 - 100 km/h acceleration is decreased by slightly less than half a second, and top speed is increased by up to 5 km/h. Engine responsiveness and liveliness are also enhanced. To complete the power kit, TechArt exhaust tuning is also available. Options include oval-shaped dual tailpipes for the production exhaust system; a throttle-controlled sport exhaust system, and a complete high-performance exhaust system with high-performance manifolds, sport catalysts and rear muffler.
The TechArt aerodynamic-enhancement kit adds an extra dose of sporty elegance to the 997. The TechArt front spoiler adds a touch of distinction to the production front apron, while simultaneously reducing lift for improved directional stability at high speeds.
