TechArt Porsche 911 Carrera S Police Car
TechArt Automobildesign (www.techart.de) has outfitted a Porsche 911 Carrera S to be the world's fastest police car in support of the TUNE IT! SAFE! initiative, which was started by the Bundesverkehrsministerium (German Federal Traffic Ministry), VDAT (Association of German Automobile Tuners) and the ESSEN-MOTOR-SHOW. With its 370-hp / 272-kW performance tuning, it reaches a top speed of nearly 300 km/h.
Featuring the official green police markings and a light bar on the roof, the car also serves as an example of professional automobile tuning. TechArt increases power output with their TA 097/S1 performance kit, bringing it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. An aerodynamic-enhancement kit was tested extensively in the wind tunnel for extra directional stability, and TechArt Formula 20-inch five-spoke wheels with 235/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 20 tires were added. The car is fitted with the custom-calibrated TechArt Vario sport suspension, which is adjustable in height, bound and rebound.
The interior of the car was upgraded with an ergonomically shaped TechArt sport steering wheel with airbag for a secure grip.
